Criticisms of the Shaykh of al'Azhar Masjid Ahmed At'tayyib

Al-'Allāmah Rabee' Ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī حفظه الله said in one of his refutations of the "Shaykh" of Al-Azhar, Ahmed At-tayyib :
"Where are you (Ahmed At-tayyib) regarding the repulsivness of as-Shirk and Al-Mushrikeen, and an example of their repulsivness is Allāh the most High's statement :
'Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islām, the Quran and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and al-Mushrikeen will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.'
Therefore Allāh ruled that they will be in the Fire of Hell forever and He described them as the worst creatures.
And you (Ahmed At'tayyib) praise Buddha the heretic (Mulhid) and describe him as having sound insight and you describe his belief of heresy (Ilhād)that it is a religion of mercy and that it is  unexceeded !!!.
Doctor Muhammad Dhaya' ar'Rahmān al A'dhami who is of Indian origin said in his book "Conclusions of the Religions of India" (page 141) during his speech  about Buddha and his faith (i.e, Buddhism), "And they have also mentioned: that the earlier scholars are unanimous that Buddha used to deny al ulūhiyyah..."
And as for his  followers then they worship him (i.e, Buddha) and their belief regarding him is that he is a perfect god.....
The spread of Buddhism:
Buddhism was never restricted to the upper class of the Indian society, in fact it's doors were open for everyone who wanted to enter into it, unlike the Hindu faith. So Buddhism spread massively and a group of the Hindus from the lower class, and king (Ashoka) embraced  the Buddhist faith and made it the country's official religion, and he sent callers and missionaries inside and out side of India, and he sent his son (Mahinda) to south India and Sri Lanka and Buddhism reached east and central Asia and in that time there wasn't any major differing between the Buddhist and Brahmanist.
O Shaykh of Al'Jāmi' Al'Azhar this is Buddha who denies the existence of Allāh, and the one who's followers took him as a deity besides Allāh, so are you going to recant your praise of Buddha, his faith and the faith of his worshippers and announce your recantation openly?"

Giving precedence to the elders is not general Ibn Battāl Rahimahullah said in the explanation of Saheeh Al-Bukhārī vol.9 pg. 317 and 318 in the Maktaba alrushd print Honouring the elders and putting them first in speaking and in all affairs is from the manners and excellent morals of Islām, and Abdur-Razzaq mentioned in the Hadeeth (from glorifying Allāh's loftiness is respecting those who have reached old age in Islām) and with this meaning the Prophet ﷺ said:(The elder the elder) So he ordered  to let the elder be the first one too speak, so this is a Sunnah, but the Hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar proves that the meaning of this is not general, in fact it is incumbent that the elder starts speaking in that which the young and old are equal in knowledge, but if the youth knew that which the elder was ignorant of, then it is incumbent for the one who has knowledge to mention it and put it forth, even if he was young, and that is not considered bad manners or being short with the rig

It is not a condition that warnings and refutations come from scholars

Imām Rabee b. Hādī al-Madkhalī stated: I would be nice that a refutation would be from an 'Ālim firmly grounded in knowledge with the descriptions that you mentioned, but it is not an obligation on every refuter to fulfill these discriptions, and it is not obligatory to complete these discriptions in every refutation, and if we was to make this a condition for every refuter and every refutation corruption would spread and would over come most of the Ummah except for some exceptions of the people. And what emphasizes the inaccuracy of the refuter having to fulfill these conditions is that you will not find in most Muslim lands firmly grounded Salafi Ulama, but you will find in those lands students of knowledge, and with that Allāh aided them in the spread of Tawheed and refuting polythiesms and innovations and superstitions.
